The North Carolina 4-H Horse Program Delegation had an outstanding showing at the recent Eastern National 4-H Horse Round-Up in Louisville, Kentucky. Teams and individuals from 25 different states competed in Horse Judging, Horsebowl, Hippology, and Communications events. North Carolina was represented very well in all events, capturing the Hippology Team, Horsebowl Team, Horsebowl Individual, Team Presentation, and Horse Judging Team champion titles. Here is a summary of the results:
Hippology
1st place team overall (1st in written, 1st in stations, 7th in judging, 5th in team problem)
- 3rd High Individual Overall- Savannah Lindsey (3rd in stations)
- 6th High Individual Overall- Annie Winter (5th in written, 5th in stations)

The North Carolina 4-H Horse Program Delegation had an outstanding showing at the recent Eastern National 4-H Horse Round Up in Louisville, Kentucky. Teams and individuals from 27 different states competed in Horse Judging, Horsebowl, Hippology and Communications events. North Carolina was represented very well in all events. Here is a summary of the results:
Hippology
The North Carolina Hippology team was comprised of Wake County 4-H’ers Kellianne Lunny and Emma Carmichael, and Alamance County 4-H’ers Cassandra Sigmon and Caitlin Smith. The team was coached by Wake County Volunteer leader Beth Morgan.

Cassandra, Caitlin Smith and Kaitlyn Johnson received plaques from the American Quarter Horse Association for their categorical wins.
