Stall Decorating Contest Theme: Storybooks & Fairy Tales — open book with seasonal scenes
The 2025 NC State 4-H Horse Show will hold a Team Spirit Challenge, in conjunction with the annual stall decorating contest. The online entry form must be completed by July 1, indicating the stall numbers to be judged within a county delegation. The entire delegation does not have to participate. There will be a small, medium, and large division (based on the number of exhibitors in the delegation/stalls in the group). The breakdown within divisions will be announced after entries have been received. The Team Spirit Scavenger Hunt Information will be shared on the website and the Yapp App as we get closer to the show. Delegations can have a "walk-up song" played when their delegation enters during opening ceremonies.

2025 NC State 4-H Horse Show Team Spirit Challenge


Guidelines Teams will be assigned to a Division based on their county delegation’s size [Division I (1-4), II (5-8), III (9 or more)]. Each team/county delegation will earn points by participating in the various events listed below:Daily Challenges (25 points each)
      • Photo Challenge
        • Post on the Yapp App tab for the photo challenge, and include your team name when you post. The topic will be announced on Yapp, so follow the guidelines to get credit!
      • Trivia Question 
        • The link to answer the daily question will be posted on the Yapp. Correct answers earn 25 points. If a question is answered incorrectly, you will earn 10 participation points.
      • Games (Times & Locations to be announced) Wednesday: Thursday: Friday: Saturday: 

Points for Games:
  • 1st place: 25 points
  • 2nd place: 20 points
  • 3rd place: 15 points

Bonus Points
    • Each day, bonus points will be available. Check the Yapp App announcements on how to earn these points! -Stall decorating contest (25 points for participating) -Opening ceremonies March In (25 points possible) Judges will award points for enthusiasm, crowd engagement, and use of the stall decorating theme. One battery-operated vehicle is allowed per county.

Stall Decorating Contest

Stalls must be ready to be judged on Friday morning (July 11) at 8:00 AM and the winners will be announced at the opening ceremonies Friday night. Decorations should remain up until noon on Saturday. Stalls will be judged on the following criteria: 40% Neatness & Eye Appeal (Eye-catching design and visual appeal); 30% Originality & Creativity (Exceptional use of creative ideas and originality to the design); 30% Craftsmanship (Well-constructed and neat materials).
