2024 APHA Reserve World Champions- NC 4-H

North Carolina 4-H’ers competed in the APHA World Championship Judging Contest in June in Fort Worth, Texas. The team earned the title of Reserve World Champions in the Senior Youth Division. They were also first in performance, 3rd in halter, and 2nd in reasons. Individual awards are as follows:

  • Samantha Durham, Chatham County- 1st Overall, 5th Halter, 2nd Performance, 5th Reasons
  • Georgia Wand, Perquimans County- 5th Overall, 4th Performance, 8th Reasons
  • Allee Coble, Alamance County- 10th Overall, 10th Performance
  • Bryleigh Colbert, Nash County- 7th Overall, 1st in Performance

NC 4-H Judging Team at 2024 AQHYA World Judging Contest
3rd place Overall

At the AQHYA World Championship Judging Contest held in Oklahoma City in August, the NC 4-H team finished 3rd overall, 2nd in halter, 3rd in performance, and 4th in reasons. Team members and individual awards are as follows:

  • Olivia Juergens, Cumberland County- 6th in halter
  • Georgia Wand, Perquimans County
  • Allee Coble, Alamance County- 9th in halter
  • Bryleigh Colbert, Nash County- 10th in halter, 2nd in performance, 5th in reasons, 3rd overall
