2019 NC 4-H Horse Program Steward Training

— Written By

Calling all adult volunteers! We are looking for new 4-H Horse Program Stewards. Stewards are a key part of our competitive events (horse show, horse bowl, etc.). They interpret the NC 4-H Horse Program Rules and Regulations Manual in the event of a challenge or concern and provide recommendations to show management based on their interpretations. Stewards are not responsible for enforcing rules, simply helping event management understand what the rule book says.

If you are an adult 4-H volunteer who has been in the horse program for 3 years (you don’t have to be a leader!), you are eligible for this position. Come to the New Steward Training that will be held at the Youth Team Training Clinic on January 19, 2019, at NC State University to find out more! Existing stewards, you will receive information about re-testing for this year after the youth training clinic.

To sign up for the January 19 session, please register online.
