Collapse ▲The NC 4-H Horse Program was well represented across all divisions at the recent Southern Regional 4-H Horse Championships that were held in Perry, GA. Twenty-nine exhibitors represented North Carolina in the horse show and twenty-eight North Carolina 4-H’ers competed in the educational contests.
NC exhibitors Kellianne Lunny and Micah Furr were named Reserve Champions in the Western and Gaited divisions, respectively. For a full list of all class results, please click here:

2017 Southern Regional High Point Results
NC 4-H’ers also won top honors in several of the educational events. The NC B and NC A Horsebowl teams placed first and second, respectively, and Ruth Huggins was named high individual. The NC B Hippology team placed first and the NC A team placed 4th. Sarah Isley was named the reserve champion overall individual. The NC Horse judging teams placed 2nd and 5th, with Kellianne Lunny winning top overall individual honors. In the communications events, Nicole Worth captured 2nd in Public Speaking, Emily Worth and Erin Dillon were 2nd and 8th, respectively, in the Individual Presentation contest and Abby and Morgan Furr placed 3rd in the Team Presentation event.
