Calling all adventurous equestrians! Currituck County 4-H is thrilled to announce an exciting Overnight Horsemanship Camp, taking place from April 1st to 3rd, 2024. This immersive three-day experience is designed for horse enthusiasts between the ages of 8 and 18, of all levels who crave a deeper connection with their equine companions and yearn for an unforgettable outdoor adventure.

Campers will hone their horsemanship skills through daily riding sessions led by experienced instructors. Learn advanced techniques in your chosen discipline or refine your existing skills and build confidence in the saddle to get ready for this year’s show season.

Important Details:

  • Dates: April 1st – 3rd, 2024
  • Location: Currituck County Rural Center, Barco, NC
  • Age: Open to all ages (8 years and older)
  • Cost: $95 per camper (includes meals, lodging, stall with 3 bags of shavings, and instruction)
  • Requirements: 
    • Must bring your own horse, hay, grain and all necessary tack. 
    • Campers will also need to bring sleeping bags or bed linens and bathroom essentials. 
    • All campers must be registered in 4-H online.

Space is limited, so register via Eventbrite today! Meals and snacks will be provided. If you have any special dietary needs please let us know in advance. Camp will provide certified volunteers for overnight lodging.
