Introductory Horse Judging Short Course

NC State will be hosting a Horse Judging Short Course on November 21-22. Whether you are looking to become a certified judge, lead a youth team to victory, or fine-tune your evaluation skills, this two-day short course offers instruction tailored for all experience levels. The course covers western, hunt seat, saddle seat, and non-trotting divisions using proven judging systems, classroom video evaluations, and hands-on guidance. Guest lecturers for the 2026 short course are Alex Ross and Phillip Long.

Please note: Starting this year, the Introductory Short Course and Open Horse Show Judges' Certification Clinic are being held in alternating years.

Cost: $115 (Register by October 15 to avoid the $25 late fee. Registration includes a Judging Manual)
