The 2018 NC State 4-H Hippology contest was held March 3 at NCSU. There were 114 individuals and 25 teams in the junior division and 92 individuals and 17 teams in the senior division. Johnston and Wake counties defended their 2017 titles and were the team champions in their respective divisions. Madison Noblin from Johnston county and Emma Carmichael from Wake county were named the junior and senior horseman of the year for being the high scoring individuals overall in their contests.
