Pattern Demo & Lecture
The NC State 4-H Horse Show is proud to offer a Horsemanship Pattern Demo & Lecture at this year’s show. The lecture/clinic is free to exhibitors and will be taught by AQHA Judge Shane Young. Members of the NCSU Western Equestrian Team will be demonstrating the patterns. The lecture/clinic will cover what the judges are looking for when judging/scoring the class; advice for performing the horse show patterns; and a question and answer session. It is free and open to anyone- just show up at the location and time! Demonstration horses and riders may be used to show an example pattern, but these events are lectures only and participants will not need to bring their horses to the clinic.
Horsemanship- Thursday in the Covered Arena from 6:30-7:30
College Fair- Friday in the upper concourse of the Main Arena from 9:00-7:00
The Equine College Fair will be held from 9 a.m.-7 p.m. on Friday July 6, 2018 in the upper concourse of the Main Arena. We have invited colleges from across NC, SC and VA that offer Equine studies programs and/or Equestrian teams to participate. Colleges will have booths with information and a representative will be present to answer questions.
